The problem it solves
In mushroom cultivation, a few hours of the wrong climate can ruin an entire cycle. Adjusting air conditioning, heating, misting and ventilation by hand is slow, devices often work against each other, and a fault is usually noticed only in the morning – when the damage is already done.
One brain for the whole room
Every few seconds, the system reads all sensors, calculates what the room needs at that moment and sends commands to every device. Decisions are made by a single central controller, while the air conditioner, mister, fresh-air damper, fan and heating carry them out – each with its own protections.
- Recipes for each growing phase – every phase (spawn run, pinning, harvest…) has its own temperature, humidity and CO₂ targets. When you change the phase, the system automatically adopts the new targets and reports the change.
- Phase duration reminder – the system alerts you when a phase is nearing its end.
Smart climate control
- Compost leads the air – the real target is compost temperature, so the system adjusts air temperature accordingly. It is the same approach used by professional systems on large farms.
- Heating and cooling never work against each other – no wasted electricity and no temperature swings.
- Humidity measured the way the mushroom feels it – the system tracks actual evaporation from the caps, not just the humidity percentage, so the climate stays the same at different temperatures.
- CO₂ and fresh air – the damper opens gradually, exactly as much as needed, so the room doesn’t cool down suddenly, and it never drops below the phase minimum.
- Free cooling with outside air – when outdoor conditions are favourable, the system cools with fresh air instead of the air conditioner. This is the biggest electricity saving in the system.
Misting and humidity without condensation
The mister runs in short pulses with pauses, measures the effect and only then adds more. It never sprays continuously and does not run when humidity is too high or when ventilation is stopped – so there is no condensation on the caps and no bacterial blotch. If the mister is running but humidity isn’t rising (no water, clogged nozzle), the system shuts it off and reports a fault, protecting the pump.
Protecting equipment and yield
- Air conditioner compressor protection – the air conditioner is never switched on and off in short intervals. No command is lost, and the system checks that the air conditioner has accepted every command.
- Frost protection – if freezing air starts coming in through the intake, the system immediately closes the fresh air, switches off cooling and turns on heating, before the cold air reaches the mushrooms.
- Sensor failure – if a sensor stops reporting, the system recognises it immediately and switches to a safe mode instead of heating or cooling blindly.
- Fan stopped – heating, cooling and misting wait until airflow is restored.
- Limits and monitoring – daily operating limits and checks that catch a faulty sensor or device.
Alarms and overview on your phone
- A dashboard showing the status of the room, the compost and the outside air, with trend charts.
- Phone notifications on a phase change, an air conditioner or mister fault, and when temperature, humidity or CO₂ leave the permitted limits.
- A history of all decisions and changes, so you always know what happened in the room.
- Clear instructions for staff: when something is a fault, and when it is normal system operation.
